On July 12, 2020, the Board of Directors for Secular AA | ICSAA announced a new website for the nonprofit organization that has been responsible for planning and hosting the biennial International Conference of Secular AA since its founding by three California AA members in 2014, and originally known as the We Agnostics and Freethinkers International AA Convention.
The new website located at aasecular.org, will house information about the secular AA conference to be held in Bethesda, Maryland from October 29-31, 2021, and per its vision statement, the organization will “serve the community of secularly-minded alcoholics by supporting worldwide access to secularly-formated AA meetings and fostering mutual support within a growing community of secularly-minded alcoholics.”
Visitors to the new website will find listings of online secular meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous and other secular AA events that have been submitted by individual AA members and groups, or they can submit their own meeting or event information to be listed on the events calendar. Links to secular AA group websites, basic information about secularly-formatted AA meetings, and how to start one, and news about the upcoming conference also appear on the site.
The Secular AA | ICSAA Board of Directors is working with the webmaster of the new Secular Recovery site to transfer the secularaa.org domain to Secular AA | ICSAA. It may take from five to seven days to complete the transfer, but it is under way.
If you have questions for the Board of Secular AA | ICSAA, you can reach them at firstname.lastname@example.org, and if you have questions for the webmaster of the site now branded as “Secular Recovery,” you can send an email through the contact page on that website.
